Why are you hosting tinsel?
Because we, as a city, deserve something dope.
Honestly, that’s it. We just wanted to create something to make people smile.
What should we expect?
12 larger than life 20’ murals from some of Dallas’ most amazing artists, massive sculptural installations, engaging projections, live performances, and a few surprises along the way. All from the comfort of your car.
Where is it?
799 Muncie Ave. will put you right at the entrance to the experience. Driving northbound on Sylvan Ave., you’ll enter tinsel just past the candy cane lane (you’ll know what we mean) at the corner of Muncie Ave. and Sylvan Ave.
Can I walk around?
Fabrication Yard is one of Dallas’ most magical places so you should definitely come out, walk around and experience all of it, including tinsel. So, here’s the plan get some friends, get comfortable, walk around and discover the tinsel murals and all the other murals. Feel free to stop by earlier and walk around but, the full exhibit (in its fully lit and lasered glory) is open nightly from 6:30-10:30 pm and we’ll start closing the street to everyone except staff and vehicles at 5:00 each night.
Any Vehicle Restrictions?
We know we love our trucks in Texas, but for the safety of the participants and the equipment, you must be under 8’ to ride.
How long will tinsel take?
We don’t want to occupy your whole night. We want to give you a lil’ something to make you smile as just one part of a great evening. Grab dinner before or afterwards and enjoy a quick holiday hit of awesome.
What can I do before or after tinsel?
Grab dinner at Trinity Groves or from one of the other great restaurants in the area. Head on over to the drive-in and see holiday movies, or listen to the sounds of J. Rhodes. Check out our “things to do” page for ideas and specials from some great partners.
